PRACTICE

TAS is a visionary award winning studio based in Stockholm, Sweden. The Studio was founded in 2001. In 2007 Tove Alderin an architect Johan Carlsson, www.jacstudios.dk, in Copenhagen, initiated collabroation.  

With more than 20 years of experiences we create work at the intersection of Architecture, Art and the Performative arts, Tove Alderin Studio is renowned for creating memorable, engaging and meaningful experiences, blending the qualities. The work is founded upon artistic research and exploratory methods, practical and theoretical. TAS embrace transdisciplinary junctions that allows for meetings between unexpected fields of knowledge and materiality. Looking for new encounters that can nurture and extend perceptions, create colliding, luminous and elaborating experiences - enabling new perspectives.

Projects range from spatial commissions for museums, private and public spaces, exhibitions, scenic works and artistic assignments to curation, project management, feasibility studies and lecturing / educational workshops.

The studio is run and founded by the artistic director Tove Alderin, a mulidisciplinary artist trained at the Royal Insistute of Art in Stockjholm and the Royal Danish Academy in Copenhagen.

TAS has a wide network of subcontractors within lightning, sound, moving and still images, electronics, programming, constructiom, crafts, the written word and more.
